English actress Carey Mulligan will play the daughter of Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street 2: Money never sleeps.”

Michael Douglas Joins Mulligan (Gekko), Frank Langella and Shia LaBeouf in the sequel to the film 1987. Josh Brolin is in talks for a role in the film.

Mulligan’s character romantically linked to LaBeouf, a young Wall Street broker in his way up.

Allan Loeb wrote the current script.

Mulligan received strong reviews at the Sundance Festival for her performance in “Education,” which Sony Pictures Classics is releasing October 9. She has a little part of “Public Enemies,” “Wall Street 2″ is his first major studio role.
