Debut of pico film projector on showwx film festival

This week is the Showwx Film Festival and there are many new and exciting films to see. The interesting aspect of this film festival is that each film is shown with Microvision’s Show WX projectors. The Pico projector is the model first to use laser technology. It also features 10 ANSI Lumen WVGA (848 x 480) resolutions and a contrast ratio of 5000:1.
The film festival not only enabled the company to announce the artistic community, but also enabled the company to show the versatility of the exhibition. The festival has three cinemas. A theater has a screen on the ceiling. In another room you had to provide their own screen, and the third, the ice sculpture, as the screen. The festival features a new chapter for upcoming directors to show they do not need a theater to showcase their work more on a big screen.
Showwx films scheduled so far include David Russo’s mad-scientist comedy The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, Katie Turinski’s drag-queen documentary Sissyboy, Nara Denning’s Neurotique, Floria Sigismondi’s rock biopic The Runaways and the iconoclastic Ken Russell’s Delphinium.
“The Festival is a Showwx happening,” said Shade Rupe, director of acquisitions and curator cloudzero Transmedia. “We’re creating live events a new type with this new technology.”
Alexander Beshir, cloudzero partner and co-founder, agreed. “First, think in terms of art events. But in terms of performance within a performance – with a film projected on the back of a nude model as a kind of art drawn or painted it, with the public watching the film on her naked body, while also being included in a scheme for artists. “
That raises a cool question: What are some of the possibilities of projection smarter? Cloudzero going wild with ideas.
“What political protesters projection laser Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, in the white dome of the Capitol building in Washington, DC?” Beshear said. “Or Greenpeace activists projected a second short in the belly of the gray whale rose from being hunted by Japanese whalers, as the entire slaughter is being filmed for projection later as a documentary? We just projected a short film onto the thick white blanket of snow that’s collecting on our balcony, and it looked so beautiful and pure in the night. After all, what are movies and films but dreams made real and tangible? And what else is technology but the dream of making the dream real?”
