Demián Bichir crash lands on “Runway”

Demián Bichir, Mexican actor who portrayed Fidel Castro in “Che by Steven Soderberg,” will star in the Irish independent film “of the track.”

Commercial short film director and Ian Power wrote the screenplay and directed the drama in County Cork.

The film is based on the true story of a South American pilot who crashed near a city of Cork in 1983. The townspeople gathered to build a runway so the pilot can come home, and in doing so inspired the nation.

Kerry Condon ( “Rome”) and co-star James Kierans.

Bichir is a regular on “Showtime Weeds.” He has appeared on the functions of “Do not tempt me,” “In the Time of the Butterflies” and “Perdita Durango”.
