A Closer Look to This Week’s Box Office

spider-man-3-poster-1When you are in the mood for a good movie and you can’t decide on what exactly to watch, you have several options: you can read reviews, ask your friends or go watch the sequel of your favorite film (don’t worry, the movie scene is full of them). Well, your friends might have different tastes and the reviews - well, maybe you don’t want to know what the plot is about before you actually watch it. But hey, you can always consult the Box Office!

Who is disputing the throne this week? Who is battling to get on top of the Box Office? Wait a minute, is there a competition, after all? If we take a longer look at the Box Office this week, we can see that Spider Man 3 is comfortably, safely and cozily placed on the number one spot and that there are no rivals whatsoever and no threats in sight. Why so? Simply because the number one movie, presents a weekend of gross of nearly $60 million and the runner-up, the horror sequel 28 Weeks Later can praise with “only” $9.8 million. With such numbers, we can bet that the top 3 is not going to change anytime soon.

What’s next? There’s Lindsay Lohan in new entry Georgia Rule - you might want to skip this one, and then there is a veteran in the Box Office Top, the thriller Disturbia, which has been hanging among the most watched movies for some weeks now, together with Fracture - well, good (even brilliant) actors deserve their place in the Box Office. But let’s not forget Delta Farce, a movie with an obvious parody name, which is comfortably installed at number 5. Enjoy!
