The Ex - Once Again, Three Is a Crowd

ExMoviePosterThere are all sorts of heavy movies in the theatres today and you might feel overwhelmed by, let’s say, so many complex artistic expressions. But if you are up for a funny little comedy, then here is a top choice: The Ex. And when we say “top”, we mean a top ten choice, according to this week’s sales and viewers. And you could be the next one!

Classical plot, yet not quite: a married couple lives a happy and normal life - well, except the fact that the guy (Tom), played by Zach Braff, is overly goofy and goes from one blunder to another. What happens? Her (Sofia’s) ex boyfriend comes in the picture, how else? And to worsen things up, the ex is Tom’s new boss and mentor - that is what happens if you keep losing jobs, you end up working with your wife’s ex. And oh, did we mention that the ex is still in love with Sofia? I guess not. And did we mention that the ex is in a wheelchair? The point is that the two guys engage themselves in a competition that implies loads of funny little silly situations - situations which basically make Tom look like a jealous, possessive, yet goofy and harmless husband.

Do we recommend the movie? Well, you have high chances to laugh every other 10 minutes. And you will probably get out smiling from the movie theatre. Will you get intellectually or spiritually stimulated and challenged, will you get revelations or will you watch complex artistic expressions? No, not even close. You decide.
