It’s Just A Movie

The peak of the Box Office is dominated by two movies which each have two equally successful antecedents. More precisely, we are talking about Spider Man 3 and Shrek the Third. And while nobody believed that the spider hero could actually be dethroned from the number one spot, the green ogre managed to do precisely that. Good for him!

Now, on to the movie. It’s quite hard to equal the originality and the charm of the original Shrek, but Shrek the Third sure comes close to it! Well, this can either be a big plus or a minus. If you are fond of the previous Shreks, you will love this one, since the humor style is pretty much the same, as well as the subtle cleverness and fairytale-like action. Not to mention the characters, or, better said the voices of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and Eddy Murphy, who, by the way, do an excellent job.

Yes, the story. Surprisingly or not, Shrek is not thrilled by the ideas of becoming a father or becoming a royalty. Even more, after his wife’s announcement that she is expecting a baby, Shrek has nightmares with tons of babies and fancies about being alone in his former hut. As if being a future daddy is not bad enough, poor ogre has do deal with replacing King Harold - but well, Shrek is smart enough to find his way out. Or isn’t he? Watch the movie and you’ll see! But wait, there is more: “Now, with evil forces gathering, Shrek is on a mission to find the true king” - an adventure full of new friends and funny little situations, green ogre-style. Enjoy!
