It’s Just A Movie

This week, the Box Office runner up spot presents the romantic comedy Knocked Up. Is it any good?, you might ask yourself. Well, if you liked the super comedy called The 40-Year-Old Virgin, then you have all the chances in the world to like Knocked up. Why? Because we are talking about the same director, the same sense of humor and about another funny story.

Here is the plot: two totally opposite people have a one night stand, after, you guessed, consuming too much alcohol. Oh oh, we see trouble coming! OK, one hand, there is Ben. Ben’s features? Well, he is unemployed, he has curly hair, a goofy appearance and quite modest ambitions in life (that mostly regard naked women). On the other hand, there is Alison, played by Katherine Heigl. Yes, the tall, blonde and beautiful Katherine Heigl. You get the picture up to this point? In addition to beauty, Alison is smart, ambitious and on her way to a great career. But guess what? Alison is also pregnant, as a result of the one night stand with Ben.

The story goes further and presents our characters facing the responsibility of having a baby, ironic enough, as a result of their irresponsibility. Well, such a pair can’t get it right from the first try, you got it. But will they make it? Will they decide to stay together and to work it out? How can they be right for each other when they come from different poles? Rush to the movie theatres and get the answers!
