Hostel Part II - Warning: Horror Movie Featuring Limitless Torture

hostel-part-ii-posterNo, the one on the right is not an ad for a butcher’s shop. The scary truth is that it is one of the actual movie posters - hey, don’t blame us for stomachaches, since this is, undoubtedly, the most accurate representation of Hostel Part II, also known as marketing strategy based on the overly used “Let’s Shock the Public” concept/cliché. Umm, well, it works, we are shocked.

And since the image might need just a little explanation, here it is: “Depending on the time of year… and the value of the dollar, Russian men can be cheap. Mexicans can be worth more than Canadians. But if you want an American girl, that will cost you.” Hmm… Quite a chaotic tagline (to say it nicely), but just a tiny little wonder: could this movie be about violence and sex? - Unless there are hidden and profound conceptual messages in the above teasing statements - yes, sure. Did we just say violence and sex mixed together? So we might have said it simpler: top ten blockbuster all the way! Let’s see: Blood? Plenty. Hot girls? Obviously! Cruelty? Couldn’t miss! Torture? Tons of it. Brutal? Oh no, that would be an understatement. OK, that solves it, it’s a hit.

And once again, taking a longer look at the poster - sorry for repeating, but the meaty/bloody/butchery image keeps haunting us - you might not enjoy your usual popcorn with extra butter during the movie. Why, you ask? Well, it might not go so well with the scene where a person gets eaten alive. Enjoy! - If you can, that is.
