Night at the Museum - For the Young Ones

night at the museumAre you missing the funny guy Ben Stiller? If the answer is yes, then here is a movie to put on your “to watch list”: Night at the Museum. And if you are a kid or a teen - even better, since this movie was especially imagined for you. After all, this “computerized creatures gone wild” movie might seem a little too light and maybe even unfunny for the grownups.

Let’s hear the story: a divorced dad gets a job as a night watchman at the human and history museum. And as his superior describes it, his job is to make sure that nothing gets inside the museum or out. Why “or out”, you ask? Well, the thing is that everything seems to come to life during the night. Everything, from the harmless miniature soldiers to the dinosaur’s skeleton, that is. So, let’s summarize: Special effects? Plenty, even overboard, which might make the movie seem unreal - oh wait, it is! Next - Funny? Well, depends on how much sense of humor you’ve got - so that would be rather “no”, unless you think getting hit by a dead dinosaur’s tail is funny and cool.

So, if all the above sound like a story for the young ones, then it is because the movie was actually based on a kids’ book, namely The Night at the Museum, by Milan Trenc. So basically, yes, the movie is aimed at kids and maybe teenagers. And why not, it can be a family movie, in case you don’t mind watching a non-stoppable chaos and overly-agitated scenes. Enjoy!
