1408 - The Peak of Scary

We all know that the summer movies tend to be lighter, since the last thing we need on vacation is to over-solicit our minds. But aren’t you a bit tired of all the movies with 2 star and 3 star ratings? We guessed so. So, here is good news for you: 1408 is in the movie theatres. And just a prevention tip: it is very scary!
Let’s start with a brief introduction of the main character: “The afterlife became his obsession”, soon after his daughter died. So he becomes a writer focused on supernatural happenings, yet somehow, he remains skeptical and cynical - more precisely, he doesn’t believe any of it. That is until he hears of 1408. What does the actual number represent? Well, it is the number of a hotel room - but not any kind of room. You guessed, it is haunted. The explanation? Well, maybe the 56 people who died in it, one by one, are to blame for the fact that it is so super-haunted. Oh, and nobody lasted more than one hour in the room - so this is a true challenge for our guy!
The movie manages to be quite smart and sharp - what else can we expect from a movie that is based on a classic Stephen King story? After all, many critics say that this film has high chances to become an actual classic. So, if you are looking for a clever movie, yet not extremely demanding, but also tensioned and a bit shocking in some parts, then make sure you go see 1408. Be prepared to get chills up your spine! Enjoy!
