Are you looking for a comedy this weekend? Or, better said, are you interested to know what comedy you should… well, pass? Basically, if you are looking for an easy, superficial and silly little comedy, you found it and it is called I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. But in case you want something with a little depth and meaning, then our advice is to skip this one.
Let’s see: it’s a movie with Adam Chandler, so what could that mean? Well, it can make you laugh, in case you enjoy old pranks and situational humor. You can find stereotypes, as many as you please. And silly jokes, probably more than you please. Let’s see, what else? Oh, yes, here is the summarized story: two straight men get married. And to add a few facts, they are best friends and they have quite a hard time pretending and adjusting to their new status. So, straight men getting married - this is a new one, right? Even if the so called plot might sound new and original, the fact is that it evolves around the same old jokes that you probably saw in a dozen other little light comedies.
So, is there any positive thing to say about I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry? Oh, well, maybe you could also notice some tolerance and acceptance messages in the movie, but that is only if you manage to look very, very deep - since, basically, the movie is full of patronizing a variety of groups. But if you are ok with all these, enjoy this week’s silly comedy!
