Rush Hour 3 Rushes to the Top of the Box Office

If you are wondering about who leads the Box Office chart this week, here is your answer: Rush Hour 3. Yes, yes, once again, a threequel seems to be the best movie of the week. And if we think that the movie was just released on the 10th of August, it seems that it achieved the ultimate target, as in the number one position, quite fast. With a $50 million gross, Rush Hour 3 overcame yet another famous threequel, The Bourne Ultimatum, which was the leader last weekend.
Let’s see what the plot presents: “In the heart of Paris lies a deadly threat. And there is only one hope.” Sounds serious and deep, but the fact is that Rush Hour 3 is light and silly, with a goofy intrigue - but hey, all these might sound like real entertainment to you.
If you are not familiar with the previous movies, then you need to know who is playing, at least: Chris Tucker and of, course, Jackie Chan - who, by the way, looks quite the same as he did like 20 years and 30 movies ago. And as you might have guessed, the duo splits the duties quite efficiently: Tucker’s got the jokes and the clunky appeal and Chan provides the kicks and the action. But the difference is that, compared to the previous “rushed hours”, we get a little more comedy and a little less action.
So, the conclusion is, just as the tagline says it, “Carter and Lee are back” - and they are actually on top of the movie chart, so enjoy!
