NBC’s sci-fi Day One shrinks again: Now it’s just a movie

by admin on January 13, 2010

Remember the proposed SCI-fi series NBC first day? First it was a spectacle. That was a demonstration of a season. That was a miniseries. Now, it’s just a TV movie, “said Angela Bromstad, president of entertainment at prime time from NBC and Universal Media Studios.

Day One will air a two hour movie, “Bromstad said in a group interview on Sunday as part of the press of the Television Critics Association Winter Tour in Pasadena, Calif.” We looked after the start and V then launched with initial Flashforward something strong. I did not want to come after that. When we sat down with [executive producer] Jesse [Alexander] and speaks more of the mythology, there is only concern about keeping this “.

Bromstad said the movie One day will consist of the pilot, which was originally shot. They just did not shoot any additional material. “We’ve only shot the pilot two hours,” said Bromstad. “It will be a pilot which could see where it might go in series, but there will be a resolution at the end of two hours.”

There is still hope to continue the story if the independent film version is a success. “Absolutely,” she said. “If carried out, absolutely.” She has not yet scheduled the first day.
