Selecting the perfect movie to watch with your kids – 6 steps

Films bring a little magic for us all, but maybe this is even more in the case of children. They still believe in magic and can be transported and even processed by a great film. There are many great Disney movies to enjoy with their children but can go deeper and find truly unique and wonderful films that will enhance the experiences of their children – and theirs. Here are some gems that are sure to please you and the children in your life. Once you start looking outside the standard movie fare we can actually find many more like this.

Step 1
Check the filmography of some of the great filmmakers and see if they have delved into the production of films for children. Master filmmakers like John Sayles and Robert Rodriguez, among others, have done just that. It’s a good bet that a successful film director and talented can deliver products to children too. Here are some specific titles followed by some more tips on how to track unique and fulfilling children’s films that are a little outside the norm.

Step 2
Track the masterpiece of John Sayles’ The Secret of Roan Inish “made in 1994. Sayles is a writer and director of films like “Matewan,” “Eight Men Out” and “City of Hope, among others. This is the tale of a young Irish track his brother, who had lost years earlier in a magical island dominated by the wise old stamps. It is a lyrical story that is really very simple, simple story. It really is for adults as it does for children.

Step 3
Another film for children, for another kind of teacher is “Sharkboy and Lavagirl”. It was created by the prolific genius of Robert Rodriguez. It’s a low budget film but of imagination that seems to revere the creativity inherent in children. My daughter swears by this film. This is more of a children’s film something for the whole family. It is the imaginative nature seems really connect with children. No wonder that Robert wrote this screenplay with his son … what really has been (partly) from the mind of a child.

Step 4
Find classics in public libraries. You’ll find titles that have not heard there. Seek advice from their librarians. They are excellent resources to find that gem that you may not have heard. Most are proud to address unique. A classic as “The Red Balloon” (1956) a French film without subtitles and perfect for a child. It’s a magical film (there’s that word again) about the child’s relationship with a balloon in Paris. It has a brilliant film technique that teaches children as they really are. And all this leads to a closure powerful, euphoric.

Step 5
Discover the masterpieces of animation. Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away” is one such wonder, if a little dark. It is a movie you want to screen their children, as it can be a little scary at times. However, the structure of the story is refreshingly free and the animation is brilliant.

Step 6
Go ahead and look at the great directors, seeking to deepen local libraries and online ad provider of online DVD rentals. You’ll find some films outside the mainstream that all bits are so accessible, but perhaps bring a little more to the table. Children can handle complex stories, especially if you’re sitting next to them share the experience.

Movies are more ways to experience life together and our kids all we can ask for a receipt orientation. At the least we have 2 hours to hang out with them and chomp on popcorn while watching the visions of some of the world’s greatest artists.
