‘The Road, Ninja and other’
In assessing the merits of the small bones of the blood spattered beak, it is best to remember the words of John Goodman PC’s-challenged character in “The Big Lebowski”: “The man in black pajamas, Worthy opponent”.
Producers of “Ninja Assassin” want to make real words and save the province ninja turtles. They have a strange way of paying respect swords spoiler, though. Director James McTeigue (V for Vendetta “) is much more interested in geysers of blood spraying into the digital frame as an enemy of the ninja to be taken seriously. Another problem: because the film did ninjas in the darkness, the fight scenes are dark and almost impossible to follow. None of worthy opponents here. Korean pop star Rain and Naomie Harris, head of the cast of the film, which focuses on a murderess for dishonest account betrays his clan of assassins. R for strong stylized bloody violence throughout and language. 99 minutes. A year and a half to four stars.
“The Road” – director John Hillcoat adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel tries to be close to work, but fails to convey the essence and feel a bit ’sad that it should be – which is saying something for a story of the Apocalypse. Despite the end of the desert in the world – a point of Cinderella marauding cannibals – McCarthy’s book is, in essence, a father-son in the parable. We know them only as a man (Viggo Mortenson) and children (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Film Hillcoat feel quite uncertain, unable to find the scene on the stage the drama of their poor survival. Our dominant impression of the human disease, Mortensen, a good actor, does not mention the weight, firmness Concise Man Adaptation of a masterpiece like “The Road” is a thankless task, but the film does not work for their merits. “The Way” is in resonance with the central issues of life and death, hope and despair. Rated R for some violence, disturbing images and language. 113 minutes. Two out of four.
