Top 10 Classic Western DVD Rental

If the end of next week, and always, that means it’s time to seek new DVD rental. Weekends are the perfect time to relax with a movie at home. Instead of taking the latest success in film office this weekend, try one of the classic Western movie. This list of top 10 classic westerns was launched in 2008 by the American Film Institute.

1. The Searchers (1956): John Ford directs John Wayne and Jeffrey Hunter in the story that follows two men in their search for a girl who was kidnapped by Indians.

2. High Noon (1952): Gary Cooper, stars in this film, directed by Fred Zinnemann a man who does not retreat from its principles, even when the entire city is against him.

3. Shane (1953): Alan Ladd plays a former gunslinger who must return to the gun, where the most intense fighting between the settlers of the West, directed by George Stevens.

4. Unforgiven (1992): Clint Eastwood directs and stars in this look courageous reform in the life of a killer who takes one last job, also stars Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman.

5. Red River (1948): Howard Hawks, Arthur Rosson directed and co-stars John Wayne in the traditional history of friction between father and adopted son in the cattle market.

6. The Wild Bunch (1969): A group of outlaws beyond its first attempt to score in Mexico, starring William Holden and Ernest Borgnine, directed by Sam Peckinpah.

7. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969): Paul Newman and Robert Redford team up to rob trains and authorities for implementation, George Roy Hill directs.

8. McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971): This e-Robert Altman’s film roles, Julie Christie and Warren Beatty as a prostitute and a player who struggles against a company in the Far West.

9. Stagecoach (1939): Another John Wayne, John Ford in the film, a diverse group of people socially must survive a war footing Geronimo and reach their destination.

10. Cat Ballou (1965): Lee Marvin won an Oscar for her portrayal of a drunken gunman hired hired to avenge the murder of a dissident, also stars Jane Fonda, Elliot Silverstein directs.
